About This Game

Description:

Devils’ Claw is a 2017 role-playing video game developed by Larian Studios. The sequel to Divinity Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition (2014) and the fifth main entry in the Divinity series, the game was originally released for Windows in September 2017. A Godwoken is a persecuted player of a powerful magic called Source, and is a key player in the fight against the Voidwoken, monstrous creatures that wreak havoc in the medieval fantasy world of Rivellon.

The game’s combat is turn-based tactical in a 2.5D isometric view. The game focuses on character development, exploration and interactions with non-player characters (NPCs), allowing players to make decisions that impact the story and the world. A flexible quest system allows for different solutions to a quest. Original Sin II was designed to be a single-player or cooperative multiplayer game, with one to four Godwoken characters per player or two to four Godwoken characters between the group of players.

Gameplay:

Like Original Sin, the game can be played in cooperatives of 2 players, though Original Sin II supports a party of up to 4 players, while Original Sin II allows for the choice of 6 pre-made characters with backstories, as well as for creating a character in-game and selecting his/her stats, race, gender, and background at the start of the game. The six pre-made characters have dialogue options unavailable to other characters, and one sidequest for each is related to unique events and interactions throughout the game, but the origin story of a custom character will give them these options.

Financed via a successful crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, which raised $2 million, Original Sin II was a commercial and critical success, selling over a million copies in two months. It is often referred to as one of the best video games of all time for its writing, story interactivity, combat system, cooperative multiplayer and music. It’s Divinity: Original Sin II.

Key Features:

5 Races to choose from – Play as one of 6 pre-written Origin characters with their complicated quests and backgrounds, or create a character from any of 5 different races: Human, Elf, Dwarf, Lizard or Undead.

Next-Generation Turn-Based Combat: Enter rosters of highly rewarding and tactical combat. Learn more than 200 skills in 12 skill schools, and learn how to use the environment as a weapon through skills like electrifying water, setting oil on fire, freezing blood, etc.

Go anywhere, talk to anyone, interact with nearly everything: Ultimate Sandbox Freedom. The Rivellon world responds to you and your activities. You can even talk to animals or complete quests by raising ghosts.

Single Player & 4-Player Multiplayer: Play the entire game alone or join up to 4 players in multiplayer online or split-screen (with full controller support).

The Story Mode is a difficulty mode that allows players to enjoy the story without the harsh repercussions of having to battle so hard.
