Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about using RepackLabs.
General
RepackLabs is a platform that indexes Nintendo Switch game ROMs (NSP, XCI, NSZ, XCZ formats) for preservation and personal backup purposes. We provide installation guides and tools to help users manage their game library.
Yes, RepackLabs is completely free. You can browse our library, read guides, and access download links at no cost.
No. RepackLabs does not host any game files directly. All download links point to third-party file hosting services such as Google Drive, MediaFire, and similar platforms.
Downloads
We offer NSP (digital eShop format), XCI (cartridge dump), NSZ (compressed NSP), and XCZ (compressed XCI) formats. All formats are compatible with hacked Nintendo Switch consoles.
If a download link is not working, please contact us via our Contact page or report it in our community Discord server. We try to update broken links as quickly as possible.
For large files hosted on Google Drive, you may need to click "Download anyway" when Google warns about virus scanning. For MediaFire and similar hosts, just click the download button on their page.
Installation
You need a Nintendo Switch that supports Custom Firmware (CFW). Most unpatched V1 units are compatible. You will need to install Atmosphere CFW, along with the correct firmware and keys files.
Use Tinfoil (highly recommended) or DBI Installer to install NSP and XCI files on your hacked Switch. Both tools are free and widely supported by the community.
NSZ and XCZ are compressed formats. Use the Switch Army Knife (SAK) app to convert NSZ to NSP and XCZ to XCI before installing.
Place prod.keys and title.keys in the /switch/ folder on the root of your SD card. These are required for Tinfoil and other tools to work correctly.
Legal
Laws vary by country. In many regions, creating a backup of a game you legally own is permitted for personal use. RepackLabs is intended for backup and preservation purposes only. Please check the laws in your country before downloading.
