About This Game

Description:

DIGIMON WORLD Next Order NSP (also known as DIGIMON WORLD -next 0rder-) is a Digimon game in the Digimon World series, and the sixth game of the series. This game is made by B.B. Studio and released by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game is available for PlayStation Vita in Japan since 17 March 2016. In January 2017 it would go on sale for PlayStation 4 for North America and PAL regions, and for Japan on February 26, 2017 under the Digimon World: Next Order International Edition title. Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows versions are available February 22, 2023.

The game will be Third Person Perspective and Open World, allowing players to choose from 10 starting companions at the beginning of the game, and watch their Digimon grow and evolve as they play the story. If the partner doesn’t meet the requirements of its next possible stage within a certain number of days, it collapses, dies and is reborn as an egg of the player’s choice with a slight improvement in its stats.

Gameplay:

The game’s story centers around two potential main characters: Japanese third-year high school students Takuto (タクト)[12] and Shiki (シキ).[13] Takuto was once a passionate Digimon fan in his youth, even becoming runner-up in a national tournament, but has since become more concerned with adolescent life and wondering about his future. He and Shiki are transported to the Digital World, where they meet their Digimon partners, including Agumon, Gabumon, Biyomon and Palmon.[12] They are joined on their journey by classmates Kouta Hirose (広瀬コウタ), whose partner is Guilmon he nicknamed “Yukimura”,[13] and Himari Oofuchi (大淵ヒマリ, Oofuchi Himari), who is partnered with a Salamon she nicknamed “Rikka”.[14]

Music for the game was composed by Toshiyuki Kishi, and an official commercial soundtrack titled Digimon World / Digimon World: Next Order Original Game Soundtrack was a pre-order bonus for North American game players, and sold separately from the European online stores. It features 33 tracks from the game and 36 tracks from the original Digimon World that was released in 1999 on the PSN (PlayStation Network) by Koji Yamada and Yuko Ishii.[20]

Key Features:

  • Dual Partner Raising: You raise two Digimon at once. They must be fed, trained at the gym, praised or scolded, and ultimately become more of who they are, as well as gain stats and develop evolution.
  • Dynamic Lifespan & Evolution: You’ve preprogrammed your Digimon’s life spans. Once they die, they reincarnate as Digi-Eggs with some of their stats and become stronger with each successive generation. They can grow to be more than 200 different Digimon depending on your care, statistics and bond.
  • AI-Driven Combat: You do not give specific, turn-based orders, you give strategic orders and cheer your Digimon on using Order Points. Your AI enemies are autonomous, and with a solid relationship, you can join in and unleash devastating cooperative attacks.
  • In the open world you will find NPCs who have issues, such as Town Building & Recruitment. By completing their quests they join Floatia. This eventually turns the town into a thriving metropolis, with new shops, renovations and improvements added to the town over time.
  • Survival & Survivalist Elements: You take care of your body’s needs, such as going to the bathroom and getting tired. You also need to camp, do the cooking in the wilderness and collect materials.
