Turbo Overkill NSP comes home to his hometown of Paradise to discover that it’s faced with nothing but Syn! Well, not the idea of religious transgression, though there’s plenty of that in Paradise as well. No, Syn is one of those damned AIs that dystopian futures keep foolishly producing – and giving fresh delusions of godhood and a psychotic superdrive to consume all life, organic and synthetic. The outcome is a neon city overrun by squirming, fleshy tentacles, and surrounded by armies of the mutilated humans sporting TV heads. This shooter is set to use 16 bit graphics.

Turbo is plagiarizing and remodelling Blade Runner plus Doom with a strong fist on its Duke Nuke’em cheek. Take in the plot – Johnny is now back in his hometown of Paradise. Of course, Paradise is no longer a paradise, and an evil AI called Syn is in control. Johnny is a gun for hire deeply in debt and the prize for ridding Paradise of Syn will clear his debts as not only will Johnny have to contends.

Gameplay:

There are a number of tools at your disposal, and you can use a number of tactics. There’s the aforementioned arm missiles and leg chainsaw – called the cheg. But it doesn’t end there. You have your trusty Twin Magnums which lock-on and instagib enemies. That’s only the beginning of your offensive options. With these chainsaws you feel like you have the power, cutting through enemies as if they were butter. With a lunge and slashing attack.

A big fan of the new augments. Augments are used to modify Johnny Turbo’s abilities, such as the way his arm rockets act, the leg slide, and more. Johnny Turbo is a silent protagonist – a man who shoots now and doesn’t bother asking any questions since his target is most likely to be ripped apart in a fountain of blood and fleshy bits. Much of his personality oozes forth.
