Description:

9th Dawn Remake is a 2.5D – 3D map with 2D characters and items – a dungeon crawler and a role-playing game. Your character is an Adventurer, the no-skill wanderer who somehow becomes involved in an interesting mystery solely as a means of getting more knowledge and helping others. It is a very simple control; movement across is controlled on the left side of the screen, and attack in a selected direction is controlled on the right side of the screen.

The player can alternate between different sets of weapons and dodge while fighting. Hundreds of items are scattered throughout the game, such as gear that can be equipped with like weapons and armor, and consumables or crafting materials. Passive and active development: characters’ skills improve by fighting with certain types of weapons and are also gained by killing enemies and gaining XP. Also, upon leveling up, the protagonist has several ‘stat points’ to allocate to different attributes.

Gameplay:

This game is the 4th entry in the 9th Dawn series by Valorware, being a “technical” remake of the first game they published for PC players back in 2017. To my knowledge, everything is the same, but the controls were completely remapped, and the UI received a bit more love from the developers. It’s a long game because it has a lot of content for a game on a mobile device, and the difficulty is set so that the player can try something, die, and try again until they successfully cross through a hard, spongy enemy. I like it lotlo,t and this totally makesme understande why it’s £7.99.

Once the player gets a brief tutorial, he or she reaches a village where there are many NPCs. Some of them will award quests to the protagonist; these can be very easy at first, but will eventually lead to zones in which enemies are a true danger. Then there are merchants with trading capabilities and a Card Master, who presents two minigames: one is a mini dungeon crawler with card game mechanics akin to Magic: The Gathering, and another one is climbing a tower of randomly generated levels littered with treasure and enemies.

• Eggs are often dropped by enemies when defeated in Monster Taming & Pet Raising. You can hatch, catch,a nd breed them to battle alongside!
• Deep Crafting & Economy: Craft weapons, potions, and upgrade gear. There are also a few “side quests” to accomplish to aid in the local villages’ prosperity and the acquisition of rare items.
