Monster Hunter Stories: Collection Switch XCI Free Download NSP is that it’s full of adventures that have a strong emphasis on collecting and raising monsters. Unlike Pokémon, our protagonist (also customizable) fights side by side with the creatures we recruit and train, but it is still very much like the classic Monster Hunter games, in that you can acquire ever more powerful creatures and build them up to their full potential. Plus, you can create your own monsters – Monsties – and battle it out with your rivals.

So it definitely plays quite differently to the titles in the series that you may already know, but it’s just as much fun. At least if you don’t let the rather childish presentation put you off. With this being the first modern release for the original Monster Hunter Stories, it has had the most enhancement done between the two games. Not only have the visuals improved, including all the character models and textures, but it’s also added full voice acting to the game, the museum mode that lets you view concept art and more, plus some updates not seen outside Japan.

All in all,l it’s a nice update to a game that’s roughly 8 years old at this point is certainly the weaker of the two titles for this collection. The second game, Wings of Ruin, is just far more fleshed out, but I think the original Stories is still worth playing. A fun RPG-adventure which, with a great cast of characters, cool (and cute!) monster designs and the core concept of collecting these monsters as a Pokémon would do, works perfectly as a hook. If you’ve only played the second game, then I do believe it’s worth taking a look at, especially when the visual overhaul and other additions are made.

It’s a day for action battles. It can take 30 minutes or more to kill a large beast, which can be quite a lengthy process. The spin-off “Monster Hunter Stories” is different in more than just one aspect. In this game, you battle against Kulu-Ya-Kus, ???, and other popular monsters in a turn-based format. With a comic look, increased focus on the story, and much more, the revised new edition of Part 1 and the sequel “Wings of Ruin”, originally only released for Switch and PC, also provide a completely different gaming experience. You’ll know firsthand what the first’s new edition looks like.
