About This Game

Description:

DRAGON BALL Sparking ZERO NSP is extremely enjoyable to use, but if you want to do so, you have to build up your energy. This involves standing in place and yelling out loud while a strong and familiar feeling envelops you, a feat that, as I’m sure you can appreciate,e is not very likely in a no-bullshit combat game. They will both be using them, but for those moments when both players are just charging their energy and staring at each other, it’ll always be uneasy. The possibilities of playing Dragon Ball: Sparking! are endless. ZERO, a story mode that allows you to explore virtually every facet of the show from its origins to today to online battling.

Making the campaign is probably the logical thing to begin with and always does a great job of evoking a feeling of “good old times” as Dragon Ball games do. There are a variety of campaigns you can play featuring different characters, starting obviously with Goku, but as you progress you’ll unlock campaigns for Vegeta, Piccolo, Gohan and even villains like Frieza,  to name but a few. The neat thing about this mode is that there are other story branches to unlock under certain conditions!

Gameplay:

Since the previous big Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi game, a lot of things have changed both in the world of video games and in gaming. It’s also the first sequel ever, and the first one since the PlayStation 2 generation, of course, and it’s charming! Zero old-school design and presentation compared to other fighting games on the market today. Harder than Vegeta’s chest plate, but lured in a few ways that are annoying and lore-true. Menus are complex, training is sometimes insufficient and not very helpful.

But all the battles are designed with one thing in mind: to place this Dragon Ball fighting fantasy in our hands as it’s portrayed in the anime. The high-speed ki slinging, the teleport kicking, and magic hair dying can be a lot of fun (until it becomes unresponsive). The few areas Sparking! Zero really does attempt to innovate, in this case with the branching story mode and create your own battles toolkit, which is promising too. But at times, playing this brawler can sometimes.
