FANTASIAN Neo Dimension NSP ship captain who had no idea of her heritage, and a magical wizard. All the participants in Fantasian Neo Dimension are wonderfully cute, with great dynamics or motivations that add tenfold to every interaction. Oh, and the voice acting here is great, and is one of the best English dubs I have heard. The enunciation of each important character’s line hit stellarly besides fitting casting. To be honest, all the dubbed cast for English is superb.

Just seeing this dub makes me feel good that I waited for this updated version because I can’t imagine going through these scenes without this dub. But the voice acting doesn’t do much to make the story interesting, and that’s because the continually changing story premise is as interesting as the writing itself. Alluded to earlier, Leo has a memory loss, but this is one of several conflicts you witness, and cleverly addressed, too.

Gameplay:

This self-disconnect makes these rooms dungeons and even the treasure chests have their own security making it a compelling connection between the present Leo and the player, contrasting his past self. The setting is another important part of this story, and is multi-layered. For example, in the opening hours, when Leo awakens, he finds himself in the machine world (as above) and discovering.

It’s a dire set of circumstances, but on the bright side, Leo has a handy warp device his past self utilized. But ironically, it only teleports Leo and those around him to the places he remembers and so he is effectively starting his quest at the beginning without the esoteric subscription service getting in the way. It’s a distinct adventure in its own right, combining a lot of tried and true tropes one would expect froms.
