Night Slashers Remake NSP horror theme of the game is Night Slasher’s biggest attraction, featuring elements from Shelley, Stoker, Universal Studios’ monster films and Romero’s zombie legacy. It is, generally, Japanese, and involves the presence of werewolves in American baseball jackets, literary caricatures of an odd sort, and enough craziness to make any plot believable. It was a great break from the gritty ‘80s streets that defined the genre of arcade belt-scroller games of the era, and, most importantly, it looked good all the time, as trucks smashed through hordes of zombies and bodybags bled.

How the four heroes came to be together. I’m not asking why should we fight evil, that’s rather a given, but how and why did they all get together? As I can see, it is the day of the day and monsters have awakened and were like “hey, today’s the day, let’s get to work.” This makes the Americans, British and Chinese fighters meet and strike hard, and slowly get to know each other as they wander.

Gameplay:

Vampire lord is no more than a cover for the REAL baddie, it’s not clear if he’s in Mexico or Australia, and neither is the captain of this entire thing. What’s happening? Who’s in charge? Doesn’t matter, don’t worry! you have a simple control scheme, with a typical jump, attack and special technique button layout. Jump + Attack: Do a stronger move; Special technique: Powerful.

I have not been able to achieve any of my remaps in the in-game menu. No matter what I mapped the actions to, they just wouldn’t save, despite showing the new prompts in said control menu. Harbinger of bad news. Anyhow, you have multiple difficulties to choose from, and can choose one of four characters to jump in the game with. One of them is quite new to Remakes.

• The beat ’em up style: of Tactical Combat is mixed with the devastating “desperation” moves that will clear the screen at a heavy cost: high damage output, but at the expense of combos, aerial attacks and grabs.
• Dual Soundtrack: The player is able to switch between a nostalgic, original version of the arcade and a new, modern arrangement.
