Persona 4 Arena Ultimax NSP  let’s refresh ourselves about what is all encompassed here. Gameplay:

This is delivered only through the static screens of a visual novel, in which characters read their dialogue, sometimes for 10-15 minutes at a time, and then at the end of the scene you pick up the controller and fight in a battle. Once the showdown is concluded (after three minutes) you’re thrown back into another long expository sequence and the cycle starts over. This in itself is undesirable, but things are worse.

To put it simply, the story mode lacks the necessary elements to engage in the game, and it is a challenge for anyone’s patience. Having half an hour of dialogue mashed doesn’t make the short battle at the end of that gauntlet exciting – it’s exhausting. I’ll say that again: although the plot itself does eventually get mildly interesting, it’s continually derailed by completely unnecessary padding.
