About This Game

Description:

Persona 4 is a 2008 role-playing video game by Atlus. It is the fifth entry in the Persona series, which is part of the larger Megami Tensei franchise, and was released in Japan in July 2008, in North America in December 2008, and in the rest of the world in March 2009. One of the last big system-only releases. An enhanced version of the game,

Persona 4 Golden was released for PlayStation Vita in 2012, for Windows in 2020, and for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in 2023. There’s also a full remake of the game in development for PS5Windowsow,s and Xbox Series X/S called Persona Revivala Like Persona 3 previously, the game has a role-playing and simulation aspect, as the player spends days working through the story, dungeons, ons and encountering enemies that he or she can interact with to strengthen their Persona’s battle power.

Gameplay:

Given the murder mystery premise, the plot of Persona 4 is heavily influenced by those of mystery writers, with the idea being largely used to set it apart from its predecessor. The rural setting was originally a town located near Mt. Fuji, and was designed to be an “nowhere” place; this is the main setting for the players to have an understanding and sympathy for the characters’ everyday lives. They have decided to make many different events in the game so it doesn’t get boring. In localization, many changes occurred in Japanese cultural references, so as not to lose effect.

In Japan, the release of Persona 4 is accompanied by merchandise like character costumes and accessories. The music for the game was mostly written by series composer Shoji Meguro and sung by Shihoko Hirata. The Westerns were bundled with a CD of music from the game. It was a game that was met with great critical acclaim, and its gameplay, story, emotional depth, characters, and music were all praised. Golden was better received for its enhancements to the original game, adding new content and graphics. The latter, in addition to its numerous console ports in the early 2020s, sold around 2.5 million copies worldwide.
